ITINERARY
After your arrival in Casablanca, you will be escorted to start your Moroccan journey.
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat
 | Casablanca’s modern character and metropolitan energy make it the most cosmopolitan city in Morocco, as well as a major economic hub with the largest port in the Maghreb. Key highlights include the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors, the lively squares of Place des Nations Unies and Mohammed V Square, both showcasing some of the city’s most impressive architecture. After the visit, you will continue with a scenic one-hour drive to Rabat. Upon entering Rabat through the monumental Almohad Gate, you will reach the Kasbah of the Udayas, perched on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, offering breathtaking views. Inside, you will discover artisan galleries, an ornate 17th-century palace now home to the Museum of Moroccan Arts, and the beautiful Andalusian Gardens. Continue your visit to the iconic Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret originally intended to be the tallest and largest in the Muslim world. Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez
 | As you travel past centuries-old olive groves and vineyards, you will approach Meknes, the Ismaili capital, renowned for its impressive 25-mile-long city walls and its rich winemaking tradition. Here, you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch in a grand palace setting. Continue to Bab El Mansour and Bab El Khamis before traveling back thousands of years to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Spread across a wildflower-dotted hillside, this UNESCO World Heritage Site features a magnificent triumphal arch overlooking the remains of palaces, mansions, Roman baths, basilicas, and remarkably preserved mosaics. Day 3: Fez
 | Fez is considered one of the holiest cities in the Islamic world, after Mecca and Medina. Founded in the early 9th century by Moulay Idriss II, it has remained remarkably preserved and has long served as a center of government, philosophy, medicine, and religion. Often regarded as the best-preserved example of an ancient Arab city, Fez consists of the “new city,” established in the 12th century, and the 2,000-year-old medina. Within the medina, donkeys and mules still carry goods alongside shoppers through a maze of narrow lanes, hidden alleyways, and bustling souks filled with spices and traditional Moroccan delicacies. Fez is also an ideal place to shop for souvenirs, including handwoven carpets and finely crafted artisan goods. Visit the famous leather tanneries, where rows of dyeing vats create a striking mosaic of vibrant colors. Finally, climb to the Merenid Tombs for a spectacular panoramic view over the city. Day 4: Ifrane – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga (Camel Ride and Overnight in the Desert)
 | A full day of driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains takes you toward the last town before the landscape opens into the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you will switch to a 4×4 vehicle for your desert experience. Explore the mystical Saharan landscape as you ride a camel across the fine golden sands of Merzouga, watching the sun set over the dunes. As night falls, enjoy the rhythmic sounds of traditional Berber drumming, accompanied by a ceremonial mint tea service. You may also witness traditional sand–baked bread being prepared, followed by a Moroccan dinner featuring harira soup, tagines with meat and vegetables, or couscous, with vegetarian options available. At nightfall, you will sleep under a nomadic-style camp beneath a sky filled with stars. Experience the timeless silence of the desert, unchanged since ancient caravans once crossed these lands carrying spices, gold, and indigo. Day 5: Merzouga – Boumalne du Dades – Todra Gorges – Tinghir
 | After a special Berber breakfast, you will depart for Todra Gorges, traveling along the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. This historic caravan route is lined with fortified villages that rise like turreted sandcastles across the landscape. The region has also served as a filming location for several Hollywood productions, including The Last Temptation of Christ, The Jewel of the Nile, and, more recently, Hideous Kinky. This central region is one of Morocco’s most captivating and romantic destinations, characterized by fertile river valleys, palm groves, and traditional mud-brick villages glowing beneath the desert sky. You will continue through the Dades Valley, passing dramatic escarpments and deep gorges via Tinghir. Dinner and overnight at your luxury kasbah in Tinghir. |
Day 6: Kalat Megouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ourika Valley (High Atlas Mountains)
 | You will begin with a stop in Kelaat M’Gouna, followed by a short drive to Ouarzazate for lunch. Afterward, continue to the famous Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou for a special visit. Your journey then continues through the majestic High Atlas Mountains along the scenic route of Tizi n’Tichka, known for its lush oasis valleys and dramatic mountain landscapes, popular with trekkers. Along the way, you will stop in one of the traditional Berber villages en route to the Ourika Valley. The route passes through fragrant pine and cedar forests, terraced farmland, and striking mud-brick Berber villages. You will visit the village of Anrar, where you will experience Berber hospitality and enjoy a traditional cup of tea with a local family. Day 7: Ourika Valley / High Atlas Mountains
 | You will explore one of the most beautiful and unspoiled valleys of the High Atlas Mountains. The Ourika Valley rises gently into the foothills of the High Atlas, where small traditional villages are nestled throughout the landscape. It is a pure and magnificent place where the silence is only broken by birdsong, flowing streams, and wagtails. The valley is also known for its pottery, minerals, and crystals. You will visit the aromatic garden in the valley, followed by a visit to a Jewish shrine at Souk Lakhmis, where you may also meet the last remaining Jew in the valley. You may then enjoy a couple of hours of trekking through the valley to explore hidden Berber villages, or alternatively, hike to one of the secluded waterfalls of the High Atlas, including the Siti Fatma waterfalls. Day 8: Marrakech
 | Discover Morocco’s jeweled Imperial Cities in the mystical city of Marrakesh. This enchanting palm oasis is set against the snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas Mountains. Explore the magnificent Bahia Palace, once a grand residence from the time of the harem, now known for its elegant courtyards and nesting storks. Continue to the Saadian Tombs, a remarkable royal burial site, before visiting the vibrant and historic Jewish Mellah, where some of the finest Moroccan jewelry is crafted and sold. You will also see the iconic Koutoubia Mosque before entering the 9th-century walled medina. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the historic Stylia Palace, a 15th-century residence located in the heart of the old medina. Day 9: Marrakech
